Stripers to 20lbs this week and Loads of Big Porgies
Last couple of trips this week saw pick of Stripers on jigs with some keepers up to 20lbs.The Porgie trips were good with some real Jumbos mixing in More and more Keeper size SeaBass now in catches.
Mixed Bag Weekend Stripers,SeaBass ,Fluke and Porgies
Great mixed bag fishing this weekend Saturday's trip jigged Stripers and had a bunch of Porgies and Seabass.Sunday' s trip Focused on Fluke had 15 with keepers to 24in 5lbs,plus some nice SeaBass to 3lbs Released and Some Porgies
Slow bite last 2 days but we still connected
Todays trip with Bill the Striper fishing was slow so we had to resort to trolling it took a while but we put a few bass in the boat up to 34inches
A liitle Windy out there today but we still gotem
Today's trip with Richard was a little windy but still didn't stop us from hooking up on 4 Bass.Trips the past few days had 1 to 4 Keepers with fish to 34in
Picky Stripers,Porgie Boatload
Todays trip with Paul and friends jigged a 29 inch striper early then hit the porgie grounds as soon as we got there Porgies were flying over the Gunwales the pick settled down as tide slowed but we kept 58 Porgies with a lot of Jumbos threw back another 25 plus SeaBass and a Striper
Fishing was good after the Storm
Today's trip with Andy,CJ,Will and Luke started off today Jigging Stripers the action was good we hooked on first drift had about 15 Stripers 24-26inches plus 1 29inch keeper.After jigging we switched to Porgies we had a slow pick put 12 Porgies of mixed sizes in the boat
Striped Bass and Porgies kicked it up a notch
Today's trip started off Jigging Bass early we had 8 Short Bass plus 1 34in keeper.On incoming tide we hit the Porgies again found loads of them all big fish to 18inches
Fishing is heating up now we just need some warm dry weather
Finally things are starting to happen in the Sound the Beginning of the week a Couple of Blackfish trips had good action with a couple of Keepers.A try for Stripers in Stony Brook harbor saw plenty of action on 20 inch fish.Fishing in Cold Spring Harbor area found a limit catch of Big Flounder plus the 1st porgie.The first try at jigging resulted in 1 26inch Bass in unfavorable conditions.We will be trying again for Stripers this week next weekend should see the 1st Keeper Ba
